Make Your Own Makeup Remover
This DIY makeup remover is my new favorite thing - it leaves my skin make up free and nice and soft. No breakouts, no oiliness, no mascara smudges. It feels so nice and I don't even have to use a moisturizer afterwards....
Ingredients:
- witch hazel - alcohol free is best, especially for sensitive skin
- jojoba oil
- filtered/distilled water (this will significantly increase the life of the makeup remover by reducing the bacteria present in tap water)
- bottle to put in product
Method:
Combine all the ingredients; you want equal amounts of witch hazel, oil and water in the mix. I used about two tablespoons of each.To use, shake the bottle and apply a small amount to a cotton pad or ball. I like to press it into my lash line to saturate the lashes and then wipe gently.
NOTE: make sure to never touch the mouth of the bottle with dirty hands or used cotton - you don't want any nasties to get in there!
