Here is a fun and super easy polymer clay DIY. This is a great project to start with if you are a beginner or polymer clay seems intimidating to you. You can not mess this one up ....
You will need:
- Polymer clay - you can use as many colors as you want. The color combinations are endless.
- Waxed cotton cord
- Toothpick
Begin by conditioning your clay in between your hands until it is soft and pliable. Roll out your clay beads by taking a small piece of clay and then making a little ball with the palm of your hand. You can make them as large or small as you like.
Use the toothpick to poke a hole in the center of each bead. If the clay you are using is really soft, you can wear latex glove to help prevent fingerprints. Place your beads on a baking tray and bake according to clay directions. I baked mine at 270 degrees for 25 minutes.
String your beads onto the cotton cord. This is where you can get creative. You can place all your beads on one stand or make a bunch of necklaces and layer them. Totally up to you.
Attach some kind of closure on the back (I used a magnetic closure) and you are ready to go.
These DIY Tassel Earrings are bold enough to be worn alone, no necklace required. They have a little bit of sparkle and a lot of tassel to give a minimal outfit a bit of boho chic.
You will need:
- 2 Upholstery tassels
- 5 inches of rhinestone trim
- 2 Earring hooks
- 2 Jump rings
- Aileens Jewel-it glue
- Needle and Thread
- Sharpie
Instructions:
1. Measure your rhinestone trim by wrapping it around the top of your tassels and cut 2 pieces. Make sure your trim ends butt up against each other; try to keep them from over lapping, you don't want them to stick out.
2. Take your tassels and your glue and put the glue all the way around the top of the tassel, where you will be attaching your rhinestone trim. Follow the instructions on the glue, depending on the type of rhinestone trim you are using, you many need to let the glue sit for 10 minutes before placing your trim.
3. Place your rhinestone trim around the top of your tassels pressing it into the glue and hold it in place with your fingers.
4. Using your needle and thread, sew the ends of your rhinestone trim together and also run your thread through your trim and the top of your tassel a few times as an extra way to hold the trim.
5. If you have a top loop on your tassel, you can fold it over and glue it down.
6. Add your jump rings and your earring hooks to the top of your tassels.
7. Working on top of a paper towel (I recommend using the two pieces), take your sharpie and your tassels and color the bottom half of your tassels.
NOTE: The sharpies tend to be a bit stinky, so work in a well ventilated area. I also recommend hanging your earrings by an open window at leas over night to help get rid of the smell.

A dramatic statement ring made from one of the most common items on earth....rocks! It might not be the most common craft supply in your closet, but it's amazing what a little bit of paint and wire can do. So take a stroll outside, grab your favorite piece of rock, dust it off and let's get started ....
Materials:
- A rock
- Gold spray paint
- 5' - 6' wire
- Heavy duty glue
- Ring base
Instructions:
- Spray paint both sides of the rock and allow to dry. Follow the manufacturer's directions when painting, and always work in a well-ventilated area.
- Attach the rock to the ring base with glue. Let it dry completely.
- Wrap a piece of wire around the rock and ring base a few times. This will give your ring an edgy look while also reinforcing the rock in place.
- Wrap the remaining wire around the base of the ring. When finished, push the end of the wire firmly into the ring base and tuck it in under the wrapped wire so that it is not poking out.
